THE CHALLENGE: The IP plant manager contacted the Virginia Dean distributor desperately searching for reliable pumps for their boiler feedwater system. The plant had been using vertical multistage stack pumps “designed” for high-temperature water however shaft seals and other mechanical components were constantly failing. The average lifespan of these pumps was around 3-6 months, forcing large cost implications for maintenance and production.

THE SOLUTION: Our Team reviewed the design criteria and provided an RWA4166 pump selection with a revised piping and installation plan.
THE RESULTS: Four RWA pumps were installed in 2021 and continue to run without service interruption outside of scheduled preventive maintenance. This testimony has been echoed and implemented at another IP site.
